Pyramid schemes in SL

Several asswipes are dropping pyramid shaped prims on any land they can build on.
These prims vary in size from 10 mtrs down to small ones but all feature a dollar bill texture and give out notecards when touched which relate to a pyramid scheme.

Pyramid schemes are illegal in most countries and certainly against the Second Life TOS according to the Linden I asked.
The creator of these prims is DisQ Hern and the main person dropping them is Knight9954 Rojyo.

To stop residents clicking on these prims I made a cube which is full mod and features text which includes info regarding pyramid schemes being against SL’s TOS, brief advice about AR’ing the owner of the pyramid and some advice on turning off building permissions/turning on autoreturn.

Not the most elegant solution, but effective in the short term.

Get one here for free or IM me.

I went around dreamland last night covering the 20 or so pyramids I came across and later I put them up on sl boutique as a freebie and quite a few have gone out :)
This morning however I woke to find this very ignorant IM waiting for me;

[1:46] Violet Lehane: (Saved Fri Dec 22 06:18:32 2006) I have reported you tro the lindens for leaveing crap on my land

my reply being;

[1:48] Wanda Rich: hi there. The “crap” I left on your land was covering a pyramid scheme notecard giver - these are illegal in second life. If you had taken the time to read the text on the cube you would have seen that.
learn how to set land permissions and you wont get crap on your land.

Today I received an even more ignorant reply;

[19:16] Violet Lehane: i’m capable of settign permissions i prefer not to have to so my customers dont get shit returned when they are in the process of doign something - and i don’t take the time to wonder the land looking for prim - i simply delete it via the land description so watch your mouth.

Muted (Ignorance is one thing, stupidity is another).

Sadly this is the real problem - many people (Violet included) have no idea of even the simplest land tools so for them here is an article about land permissions. When people learn the basic features of Second Life things like this wont happen.
