Afterworld - EU ripoff
I was shown the following movie this evening which was on youtube.
Its for a Russian MMO called Afterworld. Anyone who has ever seen Entropia Universe can see this is a blatent rip-off of Mindark’s MMO.
Everything from the POV, environment, loot pop-up, swirl effect and trumpets add up to make it an almost identical copy.
I see legal action coming.
Legal Action? Maybe, i don’t know, as long as AW only lends from the concept idea i guess everything else is irrelevant, also, i highly doubt AW will ever be able to reach PE/EU to the knees, so MA has nothing to worry about…
Considering the nature of MA, actually there might be a lawsuit, but i think it would be a stupid move

Every mmo is like this, I don’t see it even being very close to PE anyways. Looting corpses is not a new concept. It’s done in many many many games since hunt the wumpus.
Learn to go out and see other games other than your PE.

You are the only person so far (out of quite a few) who seems to think it bears no similarity to Entropia. Your entitled to your opinion just as I am.
I play plenty of other games and if you had even looked around this blog you would see that. I don’t even play EU anymore.
I guess you need new glasses or maybe you are on the rip off dev team.
wow this fourm is allmost 2 years old i feel dirty trolling. In my defence i did find it on google so i will reply.
The game does rip off entropia in some small ways but the game play is so much better there is no lock on aim and the pvp is pretty good.
I dont think stand still pvp gods in entropia would stand a chance in afterworld.
right now the game has open registration and is free to play and still in the alpha stage.
The economy is 100% player controlled and there is no tt value on any of the loot if no one is willing to pay for it it has no value.
