Anshe Chung Studios is preparing to launch a virtual financial market, financial products and a set of services that are going to, for the first time, allow direct capital flow and investment across virtual world boundaries. This step will be the first of many in the creation of an open, cross platform Metaverse economy that transcends individual virtual worlds.

Five virtual bank licences were auctioned in Entropia Universe today.
Each licence gives the owner a ‘2 year exclusive license to run and provide credit facilities within the virtual universe’.

The licences were won by the following avatars;

Licence 1: Yuri iNTellect Efremov - 999,000 PED ($99,900 USD)
Licence 2: Jolana Kitty Brice - 950,001 PED ($95,000 USD)
Licence 3: John NEVERDIE Jacobs - 900,002 PED ($90,000 USD)
Licence 4: Janus JD D’Arcwire - 590,608 PED ($59,060 USD)
Licence 5: Baroness Anshe Chung - 600,000 PED ($60,000 USD)

I was shown the following movie this evening which was on youtube.

Its for a Russian MMO called Afterworld. Anyone who has ever seen Entropia Universe can see this is a blatent rip-off of Mindark’s MMO.

Everything from the POV, environment, loot pop-up, swirl effect and trumpets add up to make it an almost identical copy.

I see legal action coming.
