I just found this on youtube and thought it was quite interesting (even if extremely annoying).

Seether t-shirt design competition:

The band Seether goes virtual with a unique campaign that bridges the virtual world of Second Life with real life.

Seether fans can now create digital avatars that they can control and use to interact with other people in the virtual world of Second Life. As part of the campaign, members of the Second Life community can visit the Seether venue where they can submit virtual t-shirt designs.

Mother with child:
Congratulations to Erik Goff for his statue titled Mother with child being the first Venus award winner.
The subject matter is one very familiar to the art world and Erik has tackled the subject well.

Technically it weighs in at a mere 5 prims, it has a quite small footprint and despite its asymetrical form is quite balanced to the eye. Its a positive and peacful creation and a nice conversational piece.

Because of its low prim use and nice price this is art anyone can access and why its a nice piece.
